Jackie and Kaycee: Amusement Park Bound

"This is a two-fer! The first picture showcases me (Jackie, left) and my best friend (Kaycee, right) at about seven years old spending a fun day at Dorney Park, an amusement park in Allentown, PA. It being 1996 and summertime, we decided to dress ourselves in high-waisted purple polka dotted shorts and a fanny pack, and a flowered culotte with a big white headband. Her enormous glasses would be hipster gold today, but alas, they are no more. And although her headband obscures it, we both had the same hideous, blunt bangs. Later, we went on to both survive hideously bad punk phases, which included short spikey hair, numerous hair colors, dog collar necklaces, and UFO pants. God bless our tolerant parents." --Jackie

Kimberly: Nickelodeon Fanatic (special appearance by Ryan Reynolds!)

"When I was 10, my family took a vacation to Orlando, Florida. This was during the height of my Nickelodeon obsession and I badgered my parents into visiting Universal Studios/Nickelodeon Studios. One of my favorite shows was 'Fifteen.' During our visit the cast of 'Fifteen' was signing autographs outside of Nickelodeon Studios, which is when this picture was taken. I am the awkward-looking girl to the far left. Note the apathetic expression that completely belied my utter excitement at meeting the cast. I'm especially proud of how I look like the early '90s exploded all over me.  I'm wearing  a New Kids On The Block t-shirt and a stone-washed fanny pack. I'm also rocking bangs so serious, that were so hard to grow out and get rid of, that I am forever to terrified to try any incarnation of bangs ever again. The added bonus to this photo is the skinny boy in the black shirt making effeminate hand gestures. That boy is Ryan Reynolds and he looks just a little better now." --Kimberly

"Man, I looked freakin' AWESOME in 8th grade! Is that a fanny pack AND a novelty hat? Wow, it was wild times hanging out with Mom in Europe. This was a Shakespeare field-trip; I think we're in Stratford-upon-avon." --David

"Seen here at age 14 at the Castillo de San Cristóbal in Puerto Rico wearing a neon green shirt, Coke bottle glasses (with superfluous sunglasses strung around my neck), an ill-fitting white baseball cap with a white braid on the rim, and shorts plastered with skulls and crossbones. Though I'm leaning against a cannon in a pose I cribbed from Never Say Never, there’s absolutely nothing suave or debonair about me." --Nevin
