"This picture was taken at a high school marching band contest in which we had participated. I (Laura) clearly thought that having thick black glasses and extremely long hair was stylish. And Stef thought putting beads on her marching band hoodie would be unique touch. Our braces were also classy. Our more recent picture is definitely a relief to both of us!" --Laura, on left
"I seriously cringe every time I see this picture, and it's a lot worse since my mom put it on her Facebook. I had (and still kinda do have) chubby cheeks, and as you can tell tweezers were not my friend and kind of scared me. I was addicted to perms and used Sun-In way too much, and goodness, looked how greased down it was (I had this thing that my hair, especially in a ponytail, had to be flat against my scalp). A lot has changed in almost nine years. I love my hair straight and dark and definitely not flat. And tweezers are now my friend and ally." -Anna
"The before pic was taken when I was 10 years old in Deerfield, Illinois. It was a family get together and I loved playing my accordion and singing along with it.... When I was grown up, married and had two children I began singing again. It grew into my recording two albums and working on getting a recording contract." --Carol
"I was in 6th grade, living just south of Orlando. I was getting ready for my first ever band concert, the same year I learned how to play my (in relation to my very small height and size) massive baritone. I had put on a dress my mother had worn in her day. A deep green, velvet dress. So it was I guess in style in the '80s or early '90s. I'm not sure. I thought it was cool though. Right after the picture was taken, I put on an oversized, white knit, button up sweater to go along with my hairsprayed down hair with my long bangs winged back and tucked behind my ears." --Victoria
