Mikayla: "Felt Chubby"

"I used to be... well, not fat, but I was chubby in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. Luckily I wasn't made fun of, but I still felt fat all the time and ugly and horrendous during those years. In 7th grade I began to play basketball. The running was really difficult for me, and it was a huge wake-up call as to exactly how unhealthy I was. That made me begin to take care of my body and worry about my health. I'm now healthy and happy." --Mikayla
