Anna Jane: Prince Valiant Hair

"Ahh, my glorious 2nd grade picture. This was the start of what I call 'the downhill years.' I had just gotten glasses, permanent teeth were growing in (crooked), and my mom thought it was a good idea to cut my long, straight, honey locks into a Prince Valiant 'do. I cried about that haircut, so she took me back to get the Penny Marshall cut from the 'Laverne & Shirley' years. I'm wearing my favorite red turtleneck and floral jumper combo (pretty sure those were harem pants) and my favorite red, puffy cloth headband. I wish I still had those glasses, though. I'm sure some hipster dug them out of the trash and is wearing them as we speak." --Anna Jane
