Melissa and Curry: Modern Bride at 14

"It was 90-something degrees at Carowinds amusement park ("The Thrill Capital of the Southeast!") in Charlotte, NC. Can you see the heat in our faces? I'm kind of mortified that I chose to pose on Modern Bride magazine (though, in our defense, we also posed for a Sassy cover). I was the bossy, older cousin, so of course I had to be the bride, complete with flat hat. Curry is the ever-patient, feather-boa'd bridesmaid. My earrings? $2.99 at University Mall in Chapel Hill. Also: I had obviously not yet discovered tweezing." --Melissa

This is amazing - what an incredible photo, makes me think of Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio. Positive they had one of those stands there, but I always did the make your own song/tape thing instead. LOVE the photo - well, both of them!
